WAtch me
Meet The Writer: Gabi Frolich
"Falling" is a pop song written to a Billie Eilish and XXXTentacion type beat. It is inspired by Billie Eilish's emotional, soft style and uniquely expressive take on the pop genre. It was written as a poetic expression of emotional conflict, detachment, and zealousness within oneself and an unhealthy relationship. Many of the lyrics are intended to assume multiple meanings depending on which line and stanza they are in, as the song was created with a double entendre, wavelike pattern. This rhythm is meant to express the cyclical nature of inter- and intrapersonal emotional conflict. Additionally, the rhythm symbolizes how despite at times one may feel like such emotional conflicts are improving, they often revert back to their original toxicity, and the individual experiencing them is often unaware that they have only been "falling" into worsening states throughout the course of the conflicts.
LYRICS
Watch me
Overflowing mysteries I'm
drowning
in puddles of last year's broken

dreaming
of the times when smiling came
easy
watch me walk this line

I'm flying
swaying in the arms of the air
surround me
with a chilling kiss unlike yours

Bass
waiting here alone it's oh so boring
the sky looks better here when I'm
Falling,
Falling,
Sinking through the smoke and clouds
Falling
mmmm
Falling
Watch me walk this line

I'm a lover
My hearts in your hands, it is
rubber
twist me, I won't break
because I'm
Tougher
smiling when lips break and
blood bursts
down by the cheeks
down my face
watch it

Falling
watch me fall-
Ing
