Over

CPSA- Visual.jpg

Meet The Writer: Amy Yi

The song "Over" was inspired by the pop genre, using ideas of love and break-ups, a common theme among this type of music. Using a Charlie Puth inspired pop type beat, the dark tone of the instrumental background turned the theme of love into more specifically a song about a break-up. The lyrics are meant to reflect the thoughts and emotions after the end of a romantic relationship, living in between memories and the present. The lyrics are kept simple and rhyme to further emulate a song from the pop genre, focusing more on the feelings it creates rather than an overly-sophisticated message.

LYRICS

Charlie Puth Type Beat - Regret
00:00 / 02:49

You break it off with me

For no reason I see

You used to act in   love

But now  it's me you shove

Dropped one text to me, and without any remorse

Now we're strangers   to be, divided by a force

Awkward in build,   as we forget about our dates

sharing mysteries and thrills

We used to laugh and play allday

But now the memories must stay away

Alone, Alone, Alone

I thought our fate was intertwined

but now its time to say goodbye

Over, Over, Over

You confessed with your whole heart,

Now we have grown apart

Deleting your contact,

For we are not intact

Dropped  one text to me, and without  any   remorse,

Now we're strangers to  be, divided by a force

Awkward in build,   as we forget about our dates

sharing mysteries and thrills

We used to laugh and play allday

But now the memories must stay away

Alone, Alone, Alone

I thought our fate was intertwined

but now its time to say goodbye

Over, Over, Over

Lying awake for hours

Imagining chance encounters

Missing you like crazy,

Wanting to call you lately

We used to laugh and play allday

But now the memories must stay away

Alone, Alone, Alone

I thought our fate was intertwined

but now its time to say goodbye

Over, Over, Over

I thought our fate  was intertwined,

But now  it's time to say goodbye

Over, Over, Over
